A night of mystery, artistry and glamour.
Alternative Hair is recognized as the world’s most prestigious and enduring annual hairdressing event, featuring leading show teams and inspirational hair artists from all over the globe.
The 28th Alternative Hair Show was held on Sunday 17th October at the magnificent Grand Temple of the Freemasons’ Hall in London’s Covent Garden. Two shows and a Gala Dinner raised a wonderful £200,000 to support Leukemia and Lymphoma research. The dazzling event was a fantastic showcase for the incredible work of the teams that performed during the evening and who had worked tirelessly during the day to create the wonderful and inspired looks around the theme of: Masquerade.
The International Visionary Award
Developed from a concept by Alternative Hair President, Anthony Mascolo, the Visionary Award is dedicated to finding and promoting new talent. Selection of the finalists is made from photographic entry. After the finalists’ presentation the international panel selected from Lithuania as the overall winner. Andrius will be invited to appear at an Alternative Hair Show in 2011.
Gala dinner celebrating 50 years of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research
Many guests attending the late show also attended a Gala Dinner prior to the show. This was held in the beautiful Connaught Rooms, adjacent to the Freemasons’ Hall and honored both Alternative Hair, and 50 years of the charity Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research. The dinner was hosted by British actor and comedian, Christopher Biggins.
