A Trip of a Lifetime 2006: 8-11 September

When a child is ill with leukaemia, the whole family suffers.

Constant attention, concern and dedication are all consuming and eventually the pressure shows on the family unit. Each year the Alternative Hair Club tries in a small way to ease this pressure by taking the children and their families for an outing, where entertainment and relaxation can create a breathing space from the illness.

For the last three years we have taken a group of 150 people on a weekend trip to France and Disneyland Resort Paris. The whole family thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and the success of these trips has inspired us to repeat the excursion this year. We have decided this time we will invite families from North West England on this journey of a lifetime, and it promises to be nothing but a success again.

To be able to ensure that the children and their families are all taken on this trip at no cost to them, we need your help to sponsor them. The costs of sponsoring a child is £300, but a greater or lesser amount will also be very gratefully received.

This will cover all expenses during the weekend; travel, hotel, meals, entrance to Disneyland
Resort Paris and the Wild West Show. You may wish to sponsor more than one family, as we
know how generous you can be. We need your sponsorship as soon as possible, in order to
confirm the arrangements.

Any donation will be thankfully accepted, and each sponsor’s name will be printed
